To help achieve the goals you have in mind, whether you wish to improve the quality of your life or better cope with life’s difficulties, I offer many years of experience and a collaborative, non-judgmental approach. My orientation is wholistic–mind, body, and spirit–in order to help you with the areas in which you want to focus. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques, especially those of cognitive-behavioral origin.
Having worked in a number of settings, including outpatient mental health, university counseling, school counseling, and in-home autism treatment, I have broad experience as a counselor and therapist. These varied experiences have all enriched my career; however, my heart lies as an outpatient psychotherapist, so this is where I’ll stay.
Maintaining a strong community and professional presence has always been important to me. I am currently on the Board of Directors and several committees for Mental Health America in Sheboygan County, have been a member of the American Counseling Association since 1988, and actively participate in the Sheboygan County Chamber and the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce.
On a personal level, balance in my life ensures my own mental health. Quality relationships with my family and friends, a healthy and active lifestyle, a strong spiritual connection, and a good book reflect my top priorities. The more of these that I can accomplish in the surroundings of nature, the better!
