Born and raised in Sheboygan the health and vitality of the community and its individuals are important to me. I studied Sociology at the University of Minnesota where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree. Upon graduation I returned to Sheboygan and again became active in the community. Continuing my education at Lakeland College in Sheboygan I earned a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling and K-12 School Counseling.
My professional focus is helping individuals and families cope with crisis and unmanageable emotions. I am CAMS (Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality) trained and have work experience as a crisis counselor and as a psychotherapist on a state licensed behavioral health unit.
Furthering my commitment to the community I am a board member for Mental Health America in Sheboygan County, a representative for the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Committee of Healthy Sheboygan County 2020 and an active member of the nonprofit organization Sheboygan Visual Artists. I am a member of the American Counseling Association.
